When you're preparing a campaign and add prospects, it can happen, that the number of "Recipients" and "In Cadence" differs. This might at first seem odd but is completely correct. The following article will explain where the difference comes from. Let's start with the definition of "Recipients" and "In Cadence"

  • Recipient: Total number of all prospects in this campaign.
  • In Cadence: All prospects which have been added to a cadence but are not yet mailed.

As shown in the picture the number between "Recipients" and "In Cadence" differs, the reason for that is, that under "Recipient" you also find prospects which are also to be found in other cadences.
This means "In Cadence" applies for multiple campaigns. All recipients that ever received a mail from you in any campaign are being marked as "In Cadence".
